Preparing and shipping your die
Before shipping die to Shenzhen, send us the die format, quantity and your country. We confirm the consignee, invoice description and courier route, then you can follow the packing steps below.

Quantity and spare die
We recommend sending 10 to 20% extra die. Confirm the quantity to bond and the spares available; unused die are returned as agreed.
What to send with the die
- A pad coordinate table or die layout, with pin 1 marked.
- The die size and thickness.
- A bonding diagram, or ask us to help draw one.
- The die name or ID, on the container and in the paperwork.
How to pack them
- One die type per container. Ensure that each different type of die is kept separate and clearly labelled.
- Anti-static packaging, sealed, inside a rigid outer box.
- Cover or lid on every waffle pack, taped or secured so the die cannot move.
- Quantity marked on the label and in the paperwork.
Paperwork and customs
- Contact us before dispatch. Include the die, quantity and shipping country.
- Wait for the route details. We confirm the consignee, invoice description and recommended courier route.
- Confirm export compliance. See export compliance.
- Ship and send the tracking number. We book the die in when it arrives.
Importing die into mainland China can attract import VAT and possibly duty. Treatment depends on how the shipment is declared. We tell you what applies to your shipment before dispatch and handle the import on our side. We do not ask you to clear customs in China.
The step that causes most delay is customs clearance, not the courier. Wait for the shipment details so a declaration issue can be addressed before the die is sent.
once the job is done
Finished boards can be shipped to you or your fulfilment partner with the leftover die. The quote states the destination and cost. Export from China is part of our side of the work.
Timing
The quote gives you a date once the die are booked in. We do not promise a date before that, because customs and courier handling are outside our control.
